Almost all 1996 and newer vehicles are equipped with a “diagnostics port”, also
known as an “OBD-II port.”
This port is used for vehicle maintenance and is accessed by a device capable of
interpreting its signals.
The OBD-II port is usually on the driver's side of the vehicle, under the dashboard
(see the illustrations).
If the port looks like the plug in the illustration above, the vehicle is compatible
with the in-Drive board.
Otherwise the dealership should have the information on whether it has an OBD-II
port, and where it is located.
